Honestly, it’s been a while now that I can’t get The Attico’s feather top out of my mind. Plain tops are overrated and it’s time to start searching where you can get your feather top fix. To start with, my love for feather tops started after seeing Lizzy Perridon’s photo when she was in Tulum. She’s a super cool Dutchie and though I’m not as colorful as her, I totally find her style super cool.

I don’t know why feather tops just look so damn good. Is it the feathers itself? Is it the volume? The juxtaposition to regular jeans? Anyways, I have yet to find where I could find the ultimate feather top to fill in the gap which the Attico has left in my heart. But, I’ve found some alternatives below. Let’s explore these brands and get some inspiration.

Let’s first talk about the OG of feather tops:
The Attico (€€€€)

If we want to talk about feather tops then we need to talk about the OG. The Attico. There’s no comparison really, The Attico makes the best feather tops I’ve ever seen. The way they describe their brand/collection is just extremely seductive and inviting:
The Attico is a collection of collectibles: brave items to fall in love with; feats of embellishment, opulence and seduction meant to be collected in time. There is a hint nostalgia to it all: a longing for sparkling times when glamour ruled and sequins, feathers and plunging necklines were a must. Gilda and Giorgia call it modern vintage. The collection is thought for women who are strong, spirited and individual. Women who play with seduction and sophistication, who are all about living large, and enjoying it in whichever way possible.
It’s bad, but I honestly would rush to The Attico if I had that kind of money to spare on feather tops. Unfortunately, it’s just not my time yet for these kind of luxuries in life. For those of you who can – by all means, get your fix there. They just look so damn good. I just want to roll up one day with the black version to one of my work’s evening event. It’s just so different and I’m absolutely in love. Good to note aside from the price point, The Attico does use real Ostrich feathers for their clothes. This could be either be a con or a pro for you.
There are tons of them on sale at Matches Fashion, Farfetch, and Luisaviaroma. Alternatively, check them out below.
Next, 16Arlington (€€€)

16Arlington — the cult London label questioning the idea of glamour with an infectious eccentricity. Hailed by British Vogue as the cool girl’s go-to for ‘conversation-starting’ evening-wear, 16Arlington proposes a maximalist fashion language that expertly, deliciously negotiates the boundaries of trash – as well as a deeply accomplished skill for pattern cutting and hand-embroidery.
Just as expensive and just as gorgeous. To be honest, I wasn’t familiar with this brand until I downloaded Drest, a must-play dress-up game on your iPhone. But, after learning more about the brand, I’ve become more enthralled in their collection. They have tons of beautiful designs beyond their feather collection. Maybe you’re like me and it’s not yet your time to splurge on these luxuries, but it’s anyways still inspiring to check out their collection.
Other high-end finds
Small note: I also found this feather top from Etsy which is without a brand-name and quite expensive, but really well reviewed on the platform. I personally haven’t bought from Etsy before so I don’t quite know how it works or how trustworthy it is. But, I think it’s kind of like a marketplace with independent sellers. If you’re down to check it out – this seems like a good alternative.
And finally, alternatives to get the look for less (€-€€)
Let’s face it, feather tops are not a necessity. They’re definitely nice to have – they look absolutely gorgeous, but you can live without it. If you’re curious about the trend, definitely opt for a cheaper alternative. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a lot which resembles the feather tops above. But, I did include additional stuff like mini-dresses and trousers in the mix – hope that this is also just as interesting.
I must say though that from the bunch above – these ones are my personal favourite:
Bonus: Sleeper’s feather pajama set
Whilst I was looking for these feather tops, I found a brand called Sleeper. They’re quite expensive but look at how cute their pajamas are!
I hope that this was as fun to read as it was as fun for me to put together. I’m always inspired by clothing and fashion in general. Hence why it’s not so much of a pill for me to put this together and scour the internet so you don’t have to. Let me know what you think down below, I’m curious to hear from you.
